On September 1, 1951, our beloved school opened its doors for the very first time, with just a handful of students in a converted garage.

Since then, much has changed: our school’s name, colors, campus locations, and even the form of our Dragon mascot. Educators and students have come and gone, but what remains unwavering is our Naga Pride and the shared values that define our JIS community.

As we approach this incredible milestone, we’re excited to announce our plans to celebrate 75 Years of JIS—and we hope you’ll start making plans with your friends and family to join us for our Diamond Dragonniversary!

 

75th Homecoming Weekend – July/August 2026

Join us for an unforgettable series of events that will bring together generations of Dragons:

• July 29 – Campus Tours and Activities at JIS, Jakarta
   
• July 31 – Homecoming Welcome in Bali
   
• August 1 – 75th Birthday Party in Bali
   
• August 2 – Best for the World Community Service Day, Bali

75th Global Parties – Fall/Winter 2026–2027

Thanks to input from our recent alumni survey, we’ll be hosting 75th Birthday Parties around the world! Locations currently planned include: Washington DC, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Texas (city TBD), Seoul, London, Singapore, and Sydney.

Diamond Dragon Gala & Auction – March 20, 2027, Jakarta
