At JIS, we use our hands, heads, and hearts to help the community around us by developing a sense of responsibility toward others. In the process, we hope to learn about ourselves and what it means to be Best for the World.
Our collective goal is to make long-lasting changes that will benefit those in need through meaningful Service Learning programs and activities.
JIS has made a commitment to ensuring that Service Learning is embedded in the curriculum schoolwide and carried out at every grade level. Together, we create service experiences that involve instruction, action, and reflection, encouraging students to develop empathy and civic responsibility.
We hope that as JIS students learn about real-world situations, they also gain a deeper understanding of their own values and beliefs, as well as their personal ability to take action to make a positive change.
